Centers of Excellence Networks

Our nurse consultants provide the information you need to make informed decisions about your care and help guide you to a Centers of Excellence Networks program that meets your specific needs.


Healthy Pregnancy Program

We have a program all about healthy pregnancy. Get personal support through all stages of pregnancy and delivery at no extra cost to you. The Healthy Pregnancy Program will help you through every stage of your pregnancy and delivery. We provide 24-hour access to experienced nurses, access to our online Healthy Pregnancy Owner’s Manual and other materials, as well as complimentary gifts and money-saving coupons.


United Behavioral Health

Sometimes we all need a little help. As a UnitedHealthcare member, you have free access to a Web site dedicated to your mental and behavioral health.

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Program

The Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease program can help you develop skills to breathe a little easier.

  • Improve exercise tolerance and overall health
  • Access to registered nurses to help you reduce risk factors, including smoking and exposure to second-hand smoke
  • Receive information on how to notice respiratory symptoms

Cancer Resource Services

Extra support and care coordination for those facing a cancer diagnosis

  • Use our network of cancer Centers of Excellence to find doctors, hospitals and treatments for specific types of cancer
  • Get information for yourself or family members with cancer
  • Talk with nurse consultants who can help you understand your options and help you make more confident decisions

Neonatal Resource Services

Neonatal Resource Services works with the Healthy Pregnancy Program to identify pregnancies that may be high risk.

  • Get support from a highly-trained neonatal nurse consultant
  • Find and access national-leading Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) and our Centers of Excellence facilities.
  • Receive education on caring for your baby when discharged home and any ongoing support services as needed

Asthma Program

The Asthma Disease Management program helps reduce unnecessary hospitalizations and health care costs, reduce missed days of work or school and seeks to improve your quality of life. The program helps you:

  • Avoid triggers that induce or aggravate asthma attacks
  • Reduce or eliminate your risk factors, such as smoking
  • Manage your condition by following a medication plan, peak flow meter use, and other physician treatment plans
  • Monitor your asthma so you can recognize warning signs of an attack and take appropriate actions to resolve them

Transition of Care

UnitedHealthcare recognizes the importance of continuity in health care. In certain circumstances, a newly covered person who is receiving treatment by a non-participating provider may qualify for Transition of Care benefits for a limited time before being required to transition to network providers.
