UnitedHealthcare is happy to announce new enhancements to the State Health Benefit Plan (SHBP) Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA), High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) and Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) Plan Options for 2012. These new WELLNESS plans help you and your spouse to become more actively engaged in developing healthy behaviors as a way of life. In return, you will be rewarded for your active participation in taking steps to help improve your health and wellbeing. The power to engage is yours! If you are currently covered by SHBP, you may elect coverage in one of the three WELLNESS Plan Options. By making a “WELLNESS Promise” to have you and your covered spouse complete your Health Assessment (HA) and required biometric screenings by June 30, 2012, you are able to take advantage of lower premiums, co-payments, coinsurances, deductibles and out of pocket maximums. However, for those of you who do not wish to make the “WELLNESS Promise,” you may elect to enroll in one of the Standard Plan options which will have higher premiums and higher out of pocket expenses.
